Academic Information

Grading System
Two reports are issued to each student every year. One at Mid-year and the other at year end. The grading system is as follows.

A+ 90 - 100 Distinction
A 80 - 89 Excellent
B+ 75 - 79 Very Good
B 65 - 74 Good
C+ 60 - 64 Pass
C 50 - 59 Satisfactory
D 30 - 49 Unsatisfactory
E 0 - 29 Fail

[Note: The student must get a C to pass.]

Each week, the school offers for Years 8 to 10:
  • 5 periods of English
  • 4 periods of Mathematics
  • 4 periods of Basic Science
  • 4 periods of Social Science
  • 5 periods of Religious Education
  • 3 periods of French
  • 3 periods of Agriculture
For Year 11, PSSC courses are being taught in 2008. This includes:
  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Biology
  • Geography
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Accounting
  • Economics
Extra Curricular Activities
The school does provide an hour of physical education for each class; and an hour work line on Wednesday afternoon and 30 minutes on Friday afternoons.

During Bible classes, students pay visits to families and individual homes. On Sabbaths the students and staff often run Sabbath School and AY programs at local churches around Port Vila.
